As part of its Unexpected Dialogues<\/em> series, the Mus\u00e9e Marmottan Monet is hosting the exhibition Monet \/ S\u00e9cheret, Water landscapes<\/em> from October 9th, 2025, to March 15th, 2026.<\/a><\/p>\n

Jean-Baptiste S\u00e9cheret (born in 1957) is the tenth artist invited by the Mus\u00e9e Marmottan Monet to design an exhibition in dialogue with the works in the collection. A painter, he works in series and on the motif, painting the landscapes on which his gaze falls\u2014monuments, buildings, factories, houses\u2014before continuing his works in the studio. <\/p>\n

For the Mus\u00e9e Marmottan Monet, he will present a set of paintings featuring the coastal landscapes and skies of Trouville, the famous H\u00f4tel des Roches Noires which was one of the views from his apartment when he lived in that city. As for Monet, the Normandy landscapes are familiar spaces for S\u00e9cheret and will lead to a meeting with two paintings by the master of the house: Sur la plage de Trouville<\/em> (1870) and Camille sur la plage<\/em> (1870). <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
