For 20 years, until his death in a state of total destitution, the artist painted numerous pictures there, including <em>Le Pont de Moret<\/em>. In the background, we see the Church of Notre-Dame de Gr\u00e2ce which Sisley painted in every season.<\/p>\n<p>Today, Moret-sur-Loing pays tribute to this artist, who was virtually unknown in his lifetime. You can <a href=\"\/barbizon-yerres\/sur-les-traces-de-sisley\/\">follow in his footsteps<\/a> through its narrow streets discovering reproductions of his paintings at the very spot where the painter once set up his easel. Just an hour from Paris, it can be a real joy to explore this small town, which has lost none of its charm, during a cycling or canoeing trip. This painting is exhibited in the <a href=\"\/paris-montmartre\/musee-d-orsay\/\">Mus\u00e9e d\u2019Orsay<\/a> in Paris.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>When I discovered this painting by Sisley, I almost felt I could hear the church bell sounding in the distance, echoing from the blue sky.
