From Pissarro to Van Gogh, follow in the footsteps of great artists in Auvers and the Oise Valley
Vincent van Gogh settled in Auvers-sur-Oise in 1890. He spent the last 70 days of his life here, proving exceptionally productive, painting over 80 canvases. He would die here in mysterious circumstances. The town of Auvers had already become a veritable magnet for artists, attracting the likes of Daubigny and Corot, and later Cézanne came. Camille Pissarro was drawn to Pontoise, while landscape painter Jules Dupré favoured L’Isle-Adam. On your Impressionist adventures, come and discover the Oise Valley, a land of inspiration and creativity for several generations of artists.
