The Guinguette de la Grenouillère, now transformed from a waterside restaurant into a museum, attracted, between 1855 and 1928, Parisians seeking recreational pursuits. Notable among them were Monet and Renoir, who painted several memorable canvases of the place.
Via canvases, objects and engravings presented against a Belle Époque guinguette backdrop, the museum preserves the memories of this venue made for leisure, culture and pleasure, and so greatly appreciated by the Impressionists.
