In tandem with the exhibition “Garden side. From Monet to Bonnard” at Giverny’s Musée des Impressionnismes, the Vernon Museum also focuses on the fascination so many Impressionist and Nabis artists demonstrated for gardens.
Claude Monet’s gardens at Giverny lie at the heart of this exhibition, with a fine selection of canvases by the great artist, but there are also works by Blanche Hoschedé and American painters influenced by the Master of Impressionism, along with evocative paintings by Nabis artists such as Pierre Bonnard, Edouard Vuillard and Ker-Xavier Roussel.
