The exhibition “In the footsteps of the Impressionists”

The Saint Siméon Farm opens its doors free to the public for les Rencontres de Saint Siméon! An emblematic place and historical source of inspiration for the pioneers of Impressionism, the luxury hotel announces the opening of an extraordinary exhibition to mark the 150th anniversary of this revolutionary artistic movement. This free celebration invites visitors on a journey through time and art.

Nest of inspiration for legendary artists such as Monet, Boudin, and Jongkind, the Ferme Saint Siméon is proud to reconnect with its artistic past by hosting a collection of paintings painted on the estate. These works, capturing the essence of light and landscapes that fascinated the great masters, will be exhibited in the gardens and public spaces of the Farm, allowing visitors to enjoy an immersive experience in the birthplace of Impressionism.

In addition to the exhibition, La Boucane, the restaurant at Ferme Saint Siméon, will offer a special menu in homage to Mother Toutain, an emblematic figure in the reception of impressionist artists. Available Monday to Friday noon until September 22nd, this menu will offer a unique dining experience reflecting the culinary heritage of the region.

The Hotel Le Cheval Blanc, model of the Impressionists, in the heart of Honfleur

Rich in history and with your feet in the water, Le Cheval Blanc is even full of a few secrets… Notably room 332. The latter hosted Claude Monet during his stays in Honfleur. The incredible view of the port greatly inspired him for his paintings of the port.

Built in a former coaching inn dating from the 15th century and located in the historic heart of the city, this hotel was part of the model landscape of several renowned impressionist painters. Indeed, on the paintings Honfleur, La Jetée by Eugène Boudin and Boats in the port of Honfleur by Claude Monet, we see this bright white building, recognizable among all: the Hôtel Le Cheval Blanc.

The exhibition “En compagnie d’Eugène Boudin. Entre Côte de Grâce et Côte Fleurie, à l’aube de l’Impressionnisme”
