Impressionist River Cruise in Asnières

Travel back in time and navigate through the setting of Impressionist masterpieces with Seine Club’s new Impressionist cruise departing from Asnières-sur-Seine. Following in the footsteps of Claude Monet, Vincent van Gogh, Paul Signac and Georges Seurat, it invites you to experience the Seine as a living painting.

The well-named electric boat, Vincent, can accommodate up to eight people for a trip along the river, discovering the places that inspired the Impressionist and Post-Impressionist painters. This unique route starts in Asnières-sur-Seine, passes by Île de la Jatte, La Défense and the lesser-known banks of the river, passing through Levallois-Perret, Neuilly-sur-Seine and Courbevoie.

This Impressionist cruise, departing from Rosa Bonheur à l’Ouest (Asnières-sur-Seine), is enhanced by anecdotes and stories about the paintings created in the places it passes by (for example, Baignade à Asnières by Georges Seurat). It takes you through unspoilt landscapes that are only accessible by water: a truly poetic and inspiring experience lasting 45 minutes or 1 hour 30 minutes, depending on your choice!

To complement this, there’s also a walk from Asnières-sur-Seine that follows in the footsteps of the Impressionist painters. Embellished with explanatory panels featuring reproductions of the paintings where they were done, it offers another view of the Seine.
