In 2026, to celebrate the 100th anniversary of his death, Claude Monet will be making an invited guest appearance at several restaurants in Normandy and Île-de-France as part of the “Monet The Foodie” initiative.
What is “Monet The Foodie”?
Claude Monet loved good food and made his table a place for sharing with his loved ones, as evidenced by his rediscovered recipe notebook. Guinguettes (open-air cafés) along the Seine in Renoir’s Luncheon of the Boating Party, Monet’s Luncheon on the Grass… gastronomy has always had a place in Impressionist scenes. “Monet The Foodie” draws inspiration from this way of life and invites us to savor the pleasures of the table, even today.
